Fazila Farhad

As a graduate in Economics from UCL , Fazila Farhad holds a diverse background in banking, product management, business development, and hotel ownership and management. She in her family business has owned and operated hotel brands like Crown Plaza (IHG Hotels & Resorts), Ibis Styles (Accor), and Ramada Hotels & Suites (Wyndham Hotels & Resorts) for over two decades. She was one of the first founding board members of South West Sydney Tourism Taskforce Inc. NSW through which collaborated closely with local councils, various visitor economy stakeholders, and Western Sydney International Airport.
Fazila has made significant contributions to the tourism industry and been recognized for her leadership and outstanding contributions through nominations for prestigious awards like WSABE and Business NSW Visitor Economy Awards. Fazila currently runs her trade and consultancy services through Australian trade & Tourism and chairs the board of Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce NSW Inc. as a founder board member. Her dedication to the visitor economy of Western Sydney is evident through her involvement in launching the inaugural WESTERN SYDNEY TOURISM AWARDS held on 24th October 2024 this year and also has served as NSW Tourism Awards Judge as well as Judge for Business NSW City of Sydney Awards and South Coast Business Awards.
